Tescott, Kansas offers the relaxation and quaintness of small town living and is just minutes from I-70 or Hwy 81.  Situated between the Saline River to the south and State Highway 18 on the north, about 320 people live in Tescott.

A café / bar, service station, bank, post office, recycling center, ag supply store and hair salon serve residents and visitors.  The new Veteran’s Memorial Park is located between the City Office and the recycling center on Main Street. The community has two other lovely parks, one with playground equipment, the other with picnic tables and a band shell. As well, a 3-mile walking trail, located just across from the fire station on the northeast edge of town, was built by the volunteer fire department and community members.

Tescott life largely revolves around the schools that are attended by about 90 elementary and 70 high school students living in southwest Ottawa County or in neighboring areas of Lincoln and Saline Counties. Newcomers with school age children are eligible for a free building site for their home in the Northview Addition on the west side of town.
